Baby Rattles Recalled

On January 12th, 2011, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission in cooperation with Kid O Products, announced a voluntary recall of their Prisma and Duo style wooden baby rattles due to a potential choking hazard.

What does this mean for you?

Their is some potential for the baby rattle’s beads to come off when the rattle is twisted or pulled forcefully, posing a choking hazard to young children. These products were manufactured in China and approximately 1500 of these rattles were sold nationwide in Children’s specialty stores from November 2010 through December 2010.

What should you do if you have purchased or own either of these products?

Consumers should immediately take the recalled rattles away from children and return them to the retail store where they purchased it for a full refund. Consumers can also contact Kid O Products for instructions on how to mail the product to receive a full refund.
