A Modern Under The Sea Nursery

The popular bright lime green combined with soft, dark browns, shiny whites and a few different patterns and textures is sure to make you happy no matter what time of day (or night) you enter your little one’s nursery.

Here I’ve picked some classic pieces to help you shop, to inspire your design desires, or to make you drool because let’s face it; there are some pretty drool-worthy pieces in this nursery.

The Nurseryworks Loom crib brings a modern flair to any nursery. The dark wood compliments the fun color palette while toning it down at the same time. This crib also converts to a toddler bed for extended use.

Lime green is a very popular color right now for baby. Maclaren has taken a modern style, matched it with amazing colors and brought it together to create a simple crib bedding set. They definitely got this one right.

This Jennifer DeLonge Original Luxe Glider makes me drool and covet soft brown fabrics for my entire house. Not only is the glider hip and modern, it’s a functional piece of furniture that can go virtually anywhere in your home.

Outfit your luxurious glider with a function and coordinating throw pillow. Bring in a third color (turquoise) to add some dimension in the room… add in a new pattern, like a chevron print, to mix things up a bit and keep it interesting.

Bring in a second throw pillow for your glider, or bench seating, to tie in the theme… fish! Modern fish.

This print would look amazing hanging on the wall next to the luxe glider or propped up on a shelf. The alphabet letters bring a little something sweet to any modern nursery.

The fourth color for this modern under the sea room is, you guessed it, white. This white flokati rug brings a soft touch to the room because afterall, it is still a baby’s room.

The Serena and Lily turquoise leather pouf is the perfect place to rest your tired feet while rocking your sweet baby in the luxe glider. The color blends perfectly with the turquoise chevron throw pillow.

Change out the standard overhead lighting and replace it with a shell pendant. These soft shells almost bring the ocean into your baby’s room and help dim the light perfectly.

Use these (or create your own) silver shells as bookends or as decorative touches on shelves. Just keep them away from baby!

And last but certainly not least, how amazing is this lime green glass bowl? It matches the bedding to a T and would look amazing on a high shelf. This decorative piece is for decoration purposes only because it is breakable.
