Maggie Gyllenhaal and Emma Thompson dish on motherhood and movies.

Maggie and Emma are starring together in the upcoming film "Nanny McPhee Returns" and the two women have bonded over the experience.  They sat down with USA Today to chat about motherhood and finding balance.

Emma shares that she's not a perfect mother and is often apologizing to her ten-year-old daughter, Gaia.  "I always say to Gaia, 'I got that wrong. I'm very sorry. That was badly judged, but next time, I'll do it this way.' The point about great parenting is that you know if you get it wrong, you can try again and get it right,"

Maggie shared that she and husband Peter Sarsgaard try to find a balance in working and parenting.  The two try to take turns filming projects, but it doesn't always work out so easily.  "…it is all well and good, but if you're not Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, you can't just say, 'I'll go do that but only starting Aug. 14 and only in New York City,'  "You do have to sacrifice sometimes."

Their new movie opens tomorrow.  Did you see the first one?
