I have been searching for ideas and inspiration on how to better organize my rolls of gift wrap. Right now I have it all stuffed into an urn. This is not smart as the paper gets all crumpled at the bottom and is always falling out. I want to make some sort of organizer to hang on the wall above my work table so the gift wrap is easy to access, but looks nice in the room as well. While I was browsing for ideas, I thought I would share the ones that have inspired me with you. Above Left Photo Credit: In Delightful Order
This was made by Amanda over at Burlap and Denim. She used decorative molding for the side pieces of her frame and added Spring/Tension rods to hold up the rolls of gift wrap.
This organizer was made by Stephanie at Brooklyn Limestone. It was arranged and mounted on the back of a door. It can be easily accessed, but out of site when you are not using it.
This wall mounted organizer was created by Kate at Centsational Girl. It is painted to coordinate with the room and uses dowels – placed both vertically for gift wrap and horizontally for spools of ribbon.
I like the way this one I found over at BHG is connected to the work table and has shelves above for added storage.
Alissa over at 33 Shades of Green re-purposed a frame and attached cafe-style curtain rods to it to create this clever organizer.
This super simple chain and curtain rod organizer hangs using 2 hooks from a ceiling or the underside of a shelf. It was made by my friend, Karen. She uses it just for ribbons, but you could add rolls of gift wrap on the rods, too. I posted about it on my blog, In My Own Style. No power tools needed !
1. Jake and Alison at Welcome Home Sunshine created an entire wall system to organize their gift wrap. They used decorative railing and wood dowels,
2. Here is a simple, yet quite effective way to store gift wrap in a closet that I found on Flickr. Attach wire wall to wall to hold the gift wrap neatly against in place against the wall.
3. If you are not a DIYer – you can buy a wall mounted organizer to store your gift wrap neatly at Kaboodle.
