SNL Sketch ‘Ladies Night Song’ Is Relatable To Moms

Over the weekend, reality star Kim Kardashian West made her hosting debut on the long-running sketch comedy show, Saturday Night Live. In one notable skit entitled, “Ladies Night Song,” the aspiring lawyer joined Cecily Strong, Ego Nwodim and Punkie Johnson to pay tribute (or skewer) to the tired moms who want to hit the club for a fun night night. Spoiler: it ends early.

“Guys, I don’t know about this. I haven’t been out to a club in forever,” Strong says to the group as they wait in line. “Come on, it’s going to be so much fun. We used to always do this,” Kardashian West replies. “Yeah, in our 20s,” Nwodim shoots back. “Well, all I do is take care of these kids, okay. I need this,” Johnson says as they head into the club.

What comes next is pure hilarity. “I left my man at home and my kids are with the nanny. Dress so tight, all the haters can’t stand me,” Nwodim raps, as Kardashian takes over. “I’m in the VIP and the music is pumpin,” the mogul raps. “I get up on the couch and..” it cuts to the mother of four passed out asleep in the V.I.P section.

The other “moms” in the group have their own set of problems with the club experience: eating too much dairy, painful feet due to tight shoes, the music in the club being too loud….then Kardashian West wakes up from her nap. “I know you little girls ain’t laughing at me,” she raps. “For your information, I wasn’t asleep, I was resting my eyes, why you worried about me?” She heads over to the bar, “but now I’m wide awake and…” it cuts to her passed out asleep on a fellow patron.

The ladies finally make their club exit at 9pm. Women of Twitter took to the social app to explain how relatable the sketch was.
