Keith Urban told ABC Audio this week that his daughter has “a great musical ear,” reports PEOPLE. Faith, 11, is Urban’s daughter with Oscar-winning actor, Nicole Kidman. Their other daughter, Sunday Rose, 13, wants to follow in mom’s footsteps and direct films. Kidman is again Oscar-nominated for playing Lucille Ball in Being the Ricardos, so this isn’t a huge surprise. These kids have quite the role models!
Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman Are Star-Studded Parents
With one parent a rockstar, and the other a household name actor and director, it makes sense that Faith may have nabbed the performance bug. Reportedly, the pair’s other daughter, Sunday Rose, 13, wants to be a director like her mom, as well.
As for Faith’s musical ear, Urban tells ABC Audio that he can tell she’s got it. “She’ll hear a melody and go to the little piano and figure it out by singing it and matching the notes and stuff,” he explained.
“Sunday, I think, has always been interested in filming and making little stories with her little iPad,” Urban said of his other daughter. “Kids from the neighborhood will come over for playdates, and I tell you, immediately, they will be roped into being in these mini-movies that she makes. They’ve got to learn their parts and everything.”
Urban went on to say that he hopes she will get into making films. “I think she’s a good storyteller,” he said. Plus, she’s already been on the big screen! Faith’s and Sunday’s voices are in the sequel to The Angry Birds Movie.
As Kidman prepared for her now Oscar-nominated turn as Lucille Ball, her daughters were part of the process. “I’d sit them on the couch and I’d do it and they’d be saying, ‘Hey, you got a lot more work to do,” Kidman joked on The View.
