Rebecca Romijn talks about the joys and horrors of her twins hitting the terrible twos.
Her twin daughters Dolly and Charlie turned 2 in December and they’re giving Rebecca and husband Jerry O’Connell a run for their money. Rebecca readily admits that it’s exhausting and great all at the same time: “It’s equal parts absolutely adorable and absolutely horrible!”
“I’m just trying to get them to bed at night, but they’re two! That’s what being two is all about. Right now, I think the whole job of being a 2-year-old is just trying to get as sick as often as possible to build up your immune system. It’s been three months of fevers, colds and vomiting,” she joked.
Like all parents of rambunctious little ones, she says life would be perfection if they could just squeeze in a full night’s sleep: “There have been so many sleepless nights for my husband and I. If I can just get them to stay in their beds and shut up at night, I’d be happy.”
I love that these two are always so honest about the ups and downs of parenthood – they never sugar coat it.
