In “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye and the Dora Milaje fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia and Everett Ross and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. The new threat develops in a hidden undersea nation lead by King Namor as the treat to protect the world’s vibranium resources.

As the sequel to the popular Black Panther movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever tells the story of a kingdom dealing with the death of King T’Challa and the world’s interest in their vibranium resources. The film is action-packed and contains many scenes where people are being chased, fighting or under mind-control. There are many deaths of background characters, some in ways that may be disturbing to viewers. Although there is very little gore there are some more intense scenes that may be scary of overwhelming. Occasional use of language like “shit” and “ass” is used. The film covers several real life issues that make for good discussion like death and grief, political power and the desire to protect resources and people, and community. Black Panther: Wakanda forever is best suited for teens and adults but may be suitable for younger audiences with parental supervision.
