In 2007 the Guiness Book of World Records awarded Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon, California, the distinction of being the largest recorded corn maze. Back in 2007 when they were first given this award, they had a whopping 45 acres. This year they’ve apparently added another 8 acres to make a total of 53 acres of challenging fun.

This amazing maze was the dream of two brothers, Matt & Mark Cooley. They first designed and built this maze with their eyes on obtaining this prize and distinction from the Guinness Book of World Records. With a lot of hard work and determination, they were finally able to turn their dream into reality when Guinness named them the winner. Be aware that a maze of this size is no joke, so anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult to enter a maze of this size and complexity. These brothers also have their very own pumpkin patch that has about every kind of pumpkin known to man, so everyone’s sure to find what they’re looking for.

There are many much smaller corn mazes located all across the country that are much less challenging than this one and better suited for smaller children, so have fun and don’t be daunted at the prospect of needing to tackle 53 acres of hidden trails on your first visit to a corn maze.
