5 Refreshing Cocktails You Have to Try When You’re at a Disney Park

Everyone knows Disney Parks are great for kids, but they also do a pretty good job of catering to parents, too. Their specialty cocktails menu is a great example. While it’s true that you cannot buy alcoholic beverages inside Disneyland or Magic Kingdom, you can easily head over to one of the other Disney Parks, like Disney California Adventure in Anaheim or Epcot in Orlando, or any of the hotel bars or lounges, and you can find plenty of options for cocktails at Disney for when you want to take a break with your own special, boozy treat.

White Sangria

This is my all-time favorite adult drink at Disney Resorts. The white sangria is made with white wine and lemon, peach, and mango juices served over ice, and it’s so refreshing on a hot summer day.

Pimm’s Punch

There is a reason why Pimm’s Punch is one of the most popular Disney drinks. It’s made with Pimm’s No. 1 liqueur (gin based), Hendrick’s gin, lemonade, and strawberries. It basically tastes like a lemonade fruit punch but for grown-ups. Resist the urge to go back several times for refills, unless you have someone to carry you back to the hotel.

Blue “Glow-tini”

This is one of those sickeningly sweet drinks that you feel you can only indulge in when you’re on vacation. Made from Skyy Infusions citrus vodka, peach schnapps, blue curacao, and pineapple juice, the Glow-tini also comes with a plastic, light-up ice cube you can take home as a souvenir. (I like to put it in my wine at home when I feel like I need a little dose of Disney magic.) Want to save a few calories? Skip the sugared rim.

Midway Martini

This is a specialty item at Cove Bar at Disney California Adventure, but if you provide the ingredients I’m guessing any decent bartender could make something similar. I really like this one because it’s basically my favorite drink, a Cosmo, made with apple vodka. The ingredients are Absolute Orient apple vodka, ginger liqueur, cranberry juice, agave nectar, and lime juice. All that mixes into the most delicious shade of pink.

Fun Wheel

The Fun Wheel is an off-menu item, only at Cove Bar at Disney California Adventure, which just happens to give you a great view of the Mickey’s Fun Wheel attraction. The Fun Wheel is basically a Long Island Iced Tea with sweet and sour, X-Rated Fusion Passion Fruit liqueur, and blue curacao, topped with lemon lime foam. This one is pretty to look at, but beware—it is strong!
