Everything You Need To Craft a DIY Home Spa Bath

For me, the easiest way to relax at home (living with three boys) is a simple soak in a warm, fragrant tub.

I have found that customizing my own fragrance water and tailoring it to my current mood is a real life changer and the perfect way to unwind after a long day. When I was single, I never would have taken the time to create an at home spa bath, but now as a mom sometimes the simplest things can be the most rewarding.

Quick Set-Up

Getting the bath ready usually takes about five minutes. A ten-minute soak in the tub usually does a body right—so this quick relaxation technique is pretty doable on a weekly basis.

Here are some of my preferred product picks for designing your own personal water oasis. Just don’t forget to set mood music with your smart phone, and be sure to lock that door!

PICK A FRAGRANCE:

Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle Foamy Bath Gel

If I want to feel sexy and empowered, or if I’ve scored a date night with the hubby, I really love Chanel’s Coco Mademoiselle Foamy Bath Gel and its luxurious creme counterpart, Coco Mademoiselle Fresh Body Cream. The bath gel is not very foamy…BUT it enraptures your bathroom with the smell of Paris. This alone is worth its weight in gold! Trust me, you won’t be disappointed. My husband thinks I’m wearing the perfume whenever I’ve layered up with the bath gel and the heavy cream. Truth be told, I don’t even own the fragrance bottle, and this combo smells way better on me than the actual perfume.

Origins Ginger Float™ Cream Bubble Bath 17.6 oz

I have been in love with Origins Ginger Float Collection for years. The price point is nice, and the smell is intoxicating. I recommend the Creme Bubble Bath, followed by Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream. Again, the bubble bath is not foamy, but it does a wonderful job of cleansing and enriching the skin with softening ginger.

SET THE MOOD:

Anthropologie Capri Blue Mercury Glass Jar Candle

Every time I walk into Anthropologie, I’m in love with how alluring the shop smells. I believe it’s all due to their signature Capri Blue Mercury Glass Jar Candles. I particularly love the fragrance in Volcano and adore how the recycled jars are reusable. They’re simply gorgeous. Plus, the soy wax candles burn longer and are more fragrant than traditional candles, so they are truly worth it. It doesn’t get any more inviting than being hypnotized by the flicker of the flame peaking through the mottled mercury glass jars.

Has anyone tried these yummies? Do you know of a bubble bath that truly foams and bubbles up? I’d love to try it!
