Hot Spring Nail Colors & Trends for 2015

Spring is in the air, and I’m raising my hands up high! Nothing freshens up my look faster than a shiny new coat of polish. Spring is the time to try some new punchy nail color trends, and this round-up is perfect for work and play. I’ve laid out five nail colors and the hottest five nail looks from NYFW Spring 2015 that are doable for even the busiest of moms.

Try these colors this spring:

Top row, left to right: Zoya Nevaeh, Zoya Scarlet, Zoya Leah (all $9 each)

Bottom row, left To right Essie Garden Variety, Essie Neon Punchy Pink, Essie Flowerista (all $8.50)

Gold On Everything

Gold on nails have a way of making manicures come alive. I love gold paired with white, teal or mint like you see here via Olive and June’s Instagram (manicure by @oliveandjune modeled by @rachelleahr). This clean mani with simple gilded moon is the perfect accessory to any spring wardrobe.

The Negative Nail

The Non-Nail or Negative Nail Trend is sweeping the season away with well…nothing! Strategic negative space makes for alluring interest and also helps in the no-chip department. You can find many different variations on this trend on Instagram. This is one of my favorites captured by the team at Olive & June in LA!
The Double French Tip Trend

Spotted at the Sophie Theallet Spring 2015 show, this double twist on the french tip is both classic and edgy. Colors used here are Essie Fiji and Turquoise and Caicos. Try these island inspired favorites or create your own wave of color.
The Vertical Stripe Trend

This abstract look helps nails appear longer and is on trend with oodles of negative space. This artistic creation is by the uber talented Jin Soon Choi (@jinsoonchoi). I love a look that’s low on maintenance, yet high on fashion.

Give Tulle A Twirl

I adore a simple nude nail as a quick fashion fall-back and this tulle trend (again by Jin Soon Choi) is a classic for every girl, especially a fast-pased mom! Jin Soon Choi recommends (via her Instagram @jinsoonchoi) to pair Tulle (i.e., a clean nude nail color) with muti-colored or patterned outfits to let your nails speak for themselves and not clash with your ensembles.
