I exercise most days of the week but, I’ll admit, I like to wear exercise clothes even on my days off. I’m a mom to 3-year-old twins. Boys. Wild boys. Messy boys. Honestly, most of the time, I just want to be comfortable and not fret about getting ketchup on designer jeans.
So, you’ll usually find me in some version of black yoga pants with an old T-shirt. Maybe a hot pink, moisture-wicking tank if I’m feeling fancy. I mean, it doesn’t quite feel like I’ve completely given up since I do wear these clothes to ultimately exercise. But, I will say, I do think that maybe I could at least try to look like I give a damn.
A friend of mine is a personal trainer, and a couple of times, she’s shown up for lunch wearing the cutest workout gear–clothes that fit well, with fun patterns and some actual style. It turned out they were from Kate Hudson’s activewear line, Fabletics, and I thought, “Oh, well that explains it.” Only a fashion-forward celebrity could make exercise clothes look chic.
Turns out, Kate isn’t the only celeb breaking into the fitness fashion world. Stars like Carrie Underwood and Rita Ora have collections as well, and apparently Beyonce and Rihanna will be debuting their own workout lines in the next year. Okay, so I will probably never look as sexy as these celebs, but I can certainly steal their gym-time style. Take a look at these celebrity fitness wear lines…
