Once your doctor has given you clearance to exercise, consider one of these fun “made for new moms” programs.
1. Stroller Skating
Head to your local ice arena, baby and stroller in tow, and check out stroller skating. Many ice rinks across the country are now offering this fitness activity for new moms. With stroller skating moms lace up their skates and skate around the rink, pushing their baby stroller to popular tunes.
2. Stroller Strides
Stroller Strides is a whole body fitness program for moms. It’s taught by certified instructors in various areas across the country. Stroller Strides includes power walking, strength and body toning exercises.
3. Postpartum DVDs
If you’re not yet ready to work that body in public, consider using a post partum exercise DVD. If you are self motivated and feel like you are more likely to get ‘er done in the comfort of your own home, check out one of the postpartum DVDs offered by BeFit- Mom.
4. Take a Class
There are more and more exercise classes being led by moms for moms. Oh Baby! Fitness, for example, offers mom and baby fitness classes across the country.
5. Dance with your Baby
