Bogle Vineyards Petite Sirah Review

Bogle Vineyards makes great wines for just these nights and their Petite Sirah is no exception. At around $10 a bottle, Bogle Vineyards Petite Sirah is an excellent value.

Petite Sirah is mainly grown in the US and Israel. The other name for this grape is Durif. These grapes produce tannic, bold, plum and spicy wines. Petite Sirah wine is dark and purplish in color and creates a full-mouth feel on the palate. Petite Sirah is more often blended with other grapes, such as Zinfandel and even Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir.

Bogle’s Petite Sirah is full-bodied and loaded with tons of black fruit; black currants, plums, and blackberries. There is a smoky note on the palate with just a little bit of spice that I enjoy while drinking this wine. The finish is nice and smooth. This wine pairs well with a variety of foods.

~ Barbecue Pork

~ Filet Mignon

~ Lamb Chops

~ Pasta with a hearty meat sauce

~ My Quick & Healthy Lentil Soup!
