These dolls are Hispanic, Caucasian, Asian and Black and are dressed in diapers with a colored hearts, stars and swirl print and approximately 3,900 of them were sold in the U.S. and approximately 400 were sold in Canada. Two labels are sewn inside the back of the diaper. “Lakeshore” is written on the larger label. The number “550200” is written on the smaller label and they were manufactured by Yan Hong Toys in China.
Parents and caretakers should be aware that the fingers and toes on these dolls can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. As of March 27th, 2012, no injuries have yet been reported in connection with this recall.
These products were sold through Lakeshore Learning Materials catalogs and online at Lakeshore Learning from May 2011 through January 2012 for about $20 and manufactured in China.
