I have always been a fairly healthy eater who exercised and never smoked. However, five years ago when I became pregnant with my first child, I became hyper aware of the chemicals that I was exposing my body to on a daily basis. I started closely looking at the chemicals I was breathing in when I found myself becoming short of breath when I was cleaning my bathroom while pregnant. Even though I was using a standard bathroom cleaner that I had been using for years and probably ninety percent of America uses, when I was pregnant it became unbearable to breathe in. It really made me stop and think just how harmful these cleaners are for us and our children. I vowed to never use harsh chemicals again to clean my house and have been making my own cleaners ever since. Keep reading for my homemade natural household cleaners recipes! I use them in every room of the house.
