My little guy was born in the spring, so I get to throw a bright, colorful spring birthday party every year at the end of April. I love spring for so many reasons, but most of all for the beautiful weather, sunshiney days, and bright colors everywhere. If you also have a spring or early summer birthday for one of your children, these five fun spring birthday party themes may be just the ticket for your next big event.
1. Sparkle Rainbow Party
This sparkle rainbow My Little Pony party by Tonya Blackstone-Coleman of Soiree Event Design is a fun original theme, perfect for spring. Filled with color and whimsical touches like the cloud backdrop, this party would make any kid's birthday dreams come true. Photo credit: Soiree Event Design
2. Rainbow and Cloud Crafting Party

3. A Cow or Farm Party
When I think spring, I always think about animals, especially baby animals, and grassy fields. I put together a modern cow party for my son's second birthday last year inspired by the children's book The Story of Ferdinand. It's fun to incorporate grass, moss, and earthy items like tree stumps for a spring party, and bringing the outdoors in is always a good idea. Photo credit: Melissa Oholendt Photography
4. Fairy Woodland Theme
A fairy theme or a woodland theme would both make fabulous spring parties, but combine the two together and it's downright magical. This party by Great Stitch could work for a boy or a girl, and what's not to love about cute woodland creatures, flowers, butterflies, and trees? Photo credit: Digital Detours and Gypsy Canon
5. A Flower, Plants, and Ladybug Party
I think putting together a party focused on flowers, plants, or ladybugs is a great option for both boys and girls. A plant-your-own flower station would be a dirty but fun party favor and activity for little ones. This ladybug party by Painted & Sprinkled is spring and summer all wrapped into one lovely party. With flowers, ladybugs, a fun color palette of green and purple, plus an outdoor venue, you can't go wrong. Photo credit: Marta Rhine Photography
Are you planning any birthday parties? Our second baby is due in early June, so I'll be doing two parties each spring going forward.
