So maybe you’ve finally come up with a few recipes to use all those colored eggs from Easter, but why waste the pretty pastel eggshells?
This is an easy and fun project to do with kids: decorating a frame or just filling in shapes on a sheet of paper. It could make a great homemade gift for Mother’s Day as well!
Supplies:
- Thrifted frame
- Colored Eggshells
- Clear kraft glue
Crack the egg and carefully peel the shell off the egg. The more hard boiled, the easier the shell will be to take off. The larger the piece the better, you’ll be able to break it into smaller pieces later.
What a colorful mix of pastel colors already in the bowl!
Here’s where the fun comes. Apply glue onto the frame, take a piece of eggshell and press it firmly onto the frame. The shell with crack but that’s just the mosaic kind of look you want! Kids will love to hear it crack beneath their fingers.
Continue adding more cracked shells in a similar manner.
….Until you’ve filled the whole frame! Let dry completely before handling.
