Since my daughter Ryan was born in May, I’ve discovered that there are certain products out there that definitely make our lives easier. I’m not talking about expensive, fancy items; I’ve found that the things I rely on most are simple yet endlessly practical. Here are 8 items that I’d recommend to my closest mom friends.

Mom Essentials: 8 Things I Use Every Day As a New Mom
-
Pregnancy Boob Tube Lotion
I’ve been using it religiously! It helps prevent stretch marks, it tightens your skin and you can use it all up your chest and neck. It’s just a good product!

Motherlove Nipple Cream
It’s also amazing. I have 15 jars of the stuff all over my house.

Baby Bjorn Bouncer
I put Ryan in her bouncer so that we can be together while I’m cooking! So convenient.

My Brest Friend
This nursing pillow is my best friend! Not only do I use it for breastfeeding, I also swaddle Ryan and hold her in the pillow with one hand so that my other hand is free to do things.

Snugabunny Cradle ‘n’ Swing
I’ve been letting Ryan sleep in this swing. She doesn’t lay flat in it, which gives me peace of mind if she spits up in the middle of the night.

Sound Machine
Ryan sleeps so much better with the white noise of a sound machine in the background. If we’re out and it’s time for her to take a nap, I just use an app called ‘White Noise’ on my phone.

Workout Ball
I love to sit on a workout ball and bounce Ryan when she’s fussing; the motion always helps calm her down. It’s so soothing!

Mod’Swad by Woombie Organic Air Wrap Swaddle Blanket
Our doula gave this to us as a gift. The blanket is mesh, which allows air in so the baby doesn’t get too hot. It’s also sticky, so the blanket doesn’t come undone after I’ve wrapped Ryan up in it.
