Supplies:

  • 1 pumpkin pattern printed
  • ¼ yard orange or orange-print cotton fabric
  • 1 piece of green felt
  • orange embroidery thread
  • green embroidery thread
  • embroidery needle
  • 1 large handful of stuffing

Instructions:

Step 1: Print out the pumpkin pattern.

Step 2: Cut out the pumpkin and stem patterns.

Step 3: Fold the fabric in half, then fold it in half again, so you have two folds together. Place the pumpkin pattern so it is along the side with the two folds and cut out two pumpkins.

Step 4: Unfold the pumpkins and place the two wrong sides together so they match up. Pin the two pieces together.

Step 5: Stitch the two pieces together, and leave a couple-inch hole for stuffing.

Step 9: Cut the stem using the pattern from a piece of green felt.

Step 10: Use a small piece of green embroidery thread to stitch the stem to the top center of the pumpkin.
