It is zippy and refreshing and pairs well with a variety of foods.
Although I love Sauvignon Blanc wine from all over the world, and especially from France where it actually originated from, New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine is very expressive. The intense sunlight and climate helps to create these ripe wines, full of tropical fruit notes, pungency and delicious crisp acidity.
While New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc wine is a perfect crisp and full flavored aperitif, it pairs well with a variety of foods. Here are some of my favorite dishes to pair New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with:
~ Ceviche
~ Shrimp
~ White Fish Tacos with Fruit Salsa
~ Grilled Chicken Salad with Citrus Fruit & Goat Cheese
~ Grilled Asparagus Wrapped in Bacon
~ Fish & Chips
~ Sushi
Below are a few of my favorite New Zealand wine picks that pair nicely with all of the above foods.
