I’ll be honest with you: it took me a while to really appreciate my slow cooker. In fact, my mother sent one along with me when I moved out at 18, and it sat in the back of my pantry for years. (I was more of a ramen and McDonald’s gal during those early, minimum wage years.) I finally donated it to Goodwill and never thought about it again until it was time to register for our wedding.
I added a Crock Pot to the list and received it from a friend at my bridal shower with this advice: “Throw in some boneless skinless chicken breasts along with a jar of salsa and cook on low for 7 hours. Boom—dinner for daaays.”
Mind = blown.
Was Crock Pot cooking REALLY that simple? I soon discovered that it was, and now I’m a slow cooker addict. My favorite recipes are the ones that are no fuss…I mean, if I’m using my slow cooker to simplify my life, I don’t want to round up 20 ingredients and cook a portion of it on the stove top first. You won’t find any of that nonsense here. These meals are 3 ingredient Crock Pot recipes (and a few with 4 or 5 ingredients, because they look really amazing and still simple) so you can get dinner started and move on with your life!
