I love dressing my little one in Ralph Lauren and I certainly love shopping affordable brands like Burt’s Bees Baby, Gerber’s and Carter’s. But there’s something oh so special about putting your child in an adorable outfit that wasn’t designed by a brand everyone knows. It’s also great to support smaller brands who are more thoughtful about how they produce their childrenswear pieces.

Niche Childrenswear Brands You Will Love
The Elephant Organics
There are few pajamas I get as many compliments on as the ones from The Elephant Organics ... yes, sometimes PJs morph into daywear. Not only are they beautifully designed and soft, but they hold up very well to many washes.
Momorii
I couldn't be more obsessed with Momorii's cotton sweaters . Cozy and beautifully made, they're full of meticulous details.
Sammy + Nat
Sammy + Nat pieces not only look great, but their pieces function great. They craft their staple pieces from hypo-allergenic Pima Cotton that adjusts to your baby's temperature, keeping them dry and comfortable. Plus they have monogramming to personalize pajamas, blankets and bibs to name a few, as well as Mom + Me collections. I have this lemon print in heavy rotation on my son...not sure if it's meant for girls, but it looks adorable on my son!
Smaller Th!ngs
Smaller Th!ngs is a new kids' clothing company that features high quality, eco-conscious and ethically-made 100% organic PJs and basics that are fun to wear (and fun for parents to look at!). Being from NYC, I obviously love the NYC PJs.
Scandiborn
You can find unique and beautifully made pieces carefully sourced from around the globe at Scandiborn . Plus, they not only have a ton of clothing options, they have a ton of options in a long list of baby categories including carriers, feeding, etc.
Lovey and Grink
I've written about Lovey and Grink before - their patterns are some of the absolute cutest! And they're great for matching because most of them are gender neutral.
Cat & Jack
Target is one of the best places to shop for affordable childrenswear and that's in no small part to Cat & Jack . The brand is obviously not teeny tiny given that it's a Target brand, but it's not all that well known, especially considering how extensive the collection is. The brand is particularly great for holiday themed buys.
Joules
Joules isn't a small brand either, but they're not as well known as they should be given how insanely adorable and stylish their pieces are. Plus, they usually have a ton of options on sale.
Makemake Organics
If you're looking for organic, understated and tastefully made pieces, checkout Makemake Organics. I particularly love their two-piece sets like the one pictures here.
Mori
I love Mori because they make classic pieces that your child can wear over and over again as well as more unique, perfect-for-Instagram type designs. They're definitely one of the best UK imports!
Posh Peanut
Posh Peanut has been around for a decade making unique pieces you won't find anywhere else.
Spunky Stork
The Spunky Stork hand prints charming and whimsical designs onto soft organic cotton tees and onesies. I pretty much wanted to order everything, but I recently ordered matching sets for everyone in my family and they all looooved them! And by matching I mean, I ordered a tee for the adult and matching onesie for my son...how's that for a win-win!
